I mentioned in my initial post for this blog that besides offering encouragement to home educators, I would also share about my writing process. Every author is different, but here’s the first glimpse into my approach.

I’ve never been accused of being fast at anything, and that includes writing. The idea of writing a book about homeschooling came to me five or six years ago when I was writing my first book on a totally unrelated topic—travel in Europe. So, I just let the idea percolate in the back of my mind for a while. For me, writing requires a lot of pondering and prayer before I set any words down on paper.

Spring is in full swing here in the desert Southwest. I leave you with a photo of a variety of prickly pear cactus.
